Our First Day!

Big day in the Schrader Schoolhouse! We woke up this morning with all sorts of excitement! Ivy couldn't even be convinced to play for 30 minutes before we sat down to start. We spent time reading, working on a memory verse, doing copy work, drawing, practicing our handwriting, and getting accustomed to our new books.

All said and done I feel like our first school day was a success! Our afternoon, however, was filled with fighting and frustration and all kinds of drama, so I think I'll sit here and stare at this sweet little book Ivy has started and remember that learning isn't defined as sitting in front of a workbook and filling in the answers. And boy am I happy for that.
